Yuna is way better in final fantasy X-2 then in final fantasy X,she's more peppy and cute!!^_^,and she looks so much prettier!,I'm pretty glad that yuna has rikku as a role model^_^

I agree but because of other things like she's more alive and talkative now, but I miss the old Yuna because she was so full of wisdom and wanted to help others a lot more than in FFx-2, if you get what I mean!

i am currently playing FFX-2, and i've kinda started doing 3 missions at once. Heh.

I've defeated the aeons at the temples in besaid and kilika, but i cant beat the ones in Djose, or in the Chamber of Fayth (Chamber of "the" fayth?).
are there certain things i need to beath them?
because if so...what are they?

& I'm also doing the cactuar misson. Where are cactuars 4-10 located??

You know, I had the EXACT same problem..
what I did with the aeon in Djose, I got the beserker DS and started attacking like fuck..
what you want is kinda high defence(ish) but higher attack..
His apprent "overdrive" is generally quite shit.. so really, attack like a beast =]
Or, if you cant find the beserker.. then use warrior.. or Dark knight.. youll beat him more or less =] x

but other combo's that i found to work
where, 2 samurai and alchemist,
3 mascot (if you're on new game plus)
and of course.. the easy way. Bribe.

STORYLINE CLEANUP

Warning! Spoilers for FFX & FFX-2 Ahead! Considering it's the ENTIRE Storyline put together and Made Sense!

Okay! So i finally made sense of everything in FFX / FFX-2 considering we were all so confused about Shuyin and Tidus, So now im gonna put it all together. Sorry for any gramatical errors. :D

ZANARKAND - 1000 YEARS AGO - BEFORE FFX
Okay, so you are directly told by Maechen (the old guy who knows everything about spira) in FFX about what happened to the original Zanarkand.

Basically 1000 years ago Bevelle and Zanarkand fought against each other in a war... This war was called the Machina War. Now it was basically Zanarkand's summoners, against Bevelle's machina, and bevelle's machina was so strong and powerful, that they compleatley destroyed Zanarkand and everyone in Zanarkand.

When Zanarkand perised, everyone died, and became fayth (ie. Shuyin) and where emobidied in the Fayth Scar on Mt.Gagazet. The fayth sung "the hymn of the Fayth", which scouts from bevelle traveling on Mt.Gagzet heard causing them to flee. (ie. the hymn of the fayth was originally a song sung in defiance of yevon, created in Zanarkand) When other scouts braved Mt. Gagazet they found the entire City of Zanarkand destroyed, and Sin left in it's wake.

SINS FIRST APPEARANCE - 1000 YEARS AGO
So, it's later explained in FFX by the fayth, Maechen, Jecht and even Yunalesca how Sin was formed.

Sin was an armour cast by Yu Yevon. Yu Yevon was a summoner in Zanarkand before it was destroyed, and considered Zanarkand his home, he was against Bevelle in the Machina War. (ie. Yes! Yevon was actually an ENEMY of bevelle) When the people of Zanarkand died and became fayth, they began to dream, Yu Yevon dreamed also. (ie. Even though they where dead, they could still dream, because in Spira - and this is a direct quote from Seymour- "Death is a blissfull slumber" so even though they where dead they could still dream) And these fayth dreamt of their Zanarkand as it was before the war. (ie. So Shuyin dreamed of himself as he was BEFORE the war, BEFORE he was a guardian,BEFORE he met lenne. Which is why Tidus has no memory of anyone called or remotley similar to Lenne. Shuyin dreamed of himself as he was when he was a blitzball player for the Zanarkand Abes)

Now he used the fayth on Mt.Gagzet to form Sin. (ie. This is how sin is formed everytime. When Yu Yevon Crafts an aeon into Sin using it's Fayth as energy.)

Sin became an armour, to protect himself as he continued the summoning. "The summoning" was dream Zarnarkand. The homeland of Jecht and Tidus. Basically, Yu Yevon lived inside Sin, to continuing summoning dream Zanarkand, a memory preserved by the fayth, of his home before bevelle destroyed it. (ie. Spira is the earth/planet, then Sin travels around spira, and dream Zanarkand is INSIDE sin. -this is shown in the final battles between your party and Sin in FFX)

JECHT - SPIRA - 9997 YEARS AFTER SINS FIRST APPEARANCE
Okay, we are still talkign about before the story of FFX starts.

Jecht got into spira when Yu Yevon accidentally spit him out of sin. Since Dream Zanarkand is inside sin, the only place he would end up is Spira.

Now, in Spira he meets up with Braska, a summoner trying to destroy Sin (Yuna's father) and Auron, Braska's guardian. Together the three of them go on a pillgrimage to Zanarkand (the destroyed one, not the one inside sin) where Braska, obtains the final Aeon by talking to Yunaleska( Yu Yevons Daughter), with Jecht becoming his fayth. (ie. Jecht sacrificed himself so that Braska would be able to summon the final Aeon)

The final Aeon was the only thing belived to pierce the armour called Sin. It worked and Sin dissapered, but Both braska and Jecht died to defeat sin. And auron died in Zanarkand. (ie. Yunaleska killed him)

Now Sin came back three years later. Like it always had.. why?

Because when Summoners used the Final Aeon to take down Sin, it only temporariyl got rid of it. Yu Yevon used the fayth of the Final Aeon (ie. Jecht) and used that Fayth to create a new Sin, so that he could continue to summon the dream of the Fayth, Dream Zanarkand.

And so because Yu Yevon merged with the Final Aeon, Jecht Become's Sin. And realises the truth about his exsistence, That he is a dream of the Fayth and that The Zanarkand he calls home, is summoned by Yu Yevon and is inside Sin.

So, deciding that even though he has little control of himself, he must destory the Cycle of the death that continues to destroy Spira. Jecht, uses Sin to Take Auron, even though he is an unsent, inside sin and place him in dream Zanarkand, to guard his son Tidus and make him stronger so that Tidus will be able to stop Spira's Cycle of Death.

DREAM ZANARKAND - FFX STARTS - 1000 YEARS AFTER ZANARKANDS DESTRUCTION
So we resume with Tidus in Zankand with his mentor Auron.

I'm going to skip the whole sin spawn battle and get to the real point of the opening sequence of FFX. Basically Jecht, who belived that Tidus was now ready to take out Sin, permanently, and save Spira. Sucked him and auron into sin and spat them both out in Spira. (at this point Tidus has no clue that his father is Sin, or what Sin is. He has no clue what Spira is.. ect. ect.)

SPIRA - 1000 YEARS AFTER MACHINA WAR - FFX
So, im gonna skip through the little events of FFX, and get to the main plot.

In spira Tidus meets a young summoner named Yuna, the daughter of high summoner braska. He joins her on her pillgrimage to Zanarkand to obtain the final aeon so that she can destroy sin.

Tidus (and Lulu,wakka, Rikku,Kimahri,and auron) accompany Yuna on her pilgrimage to Zanarkand, the city of the dead, where Tidus finally realises that his Zanarkand is gone, and finds out that if Yuna obtains the final aeon she will die.

Now in Zanarkand they meet Yunaleska (Yu Yevons daughter, remember?). Who explains to them that the final Aeon is the only way to beat sin. (ie. its not btw) and how she and her Husband Lord Zaon where the first people to ever defeat Sin, with Zaon as her final aeon. (ie. She defeated sin for the first time, about 3-4 years after Sin first appeared....She is an unsent, and lived in Zanarkand during the machina war, but refused to fight against bevelle, and instead chose to flee from Zanarkand with her husband. Now the point of this is, is that Bevelle originally Hated Yevon, considering he was the leader of Zanarkand during the war. By defeating Sin, Yunaleska though ensuring her father was able to continue the summoning, gained her fathers respact back, seeing as she is Yu Yevons daughter and defeated sin, saving bevelle. It's belived -by maechen- that Yunaleska had planned it that every summoner would use final aeon to defeat sin so that no one would ever know the true about Yu Yevon's traitorism, and how he was still destroying spira, bit by bit, through sin. Every summoner and there guardians lives - in exchange for her fathers glory...)

Yuna and party cast of there beliefs in Yevon, and defeat Yunaleska, Deciding they will find a better alternative to defeat sin.

SPIRA - FINAL BATTLE WITH SIN
okay, Yuna and party enter sin,
armed with aeons..blah blah blah.

They fight Jecht, who reveals to Tidus, along with the fayth that he is a dream of the fayth and explain the whole creation of dream zanarkand crap to him.... blah blah blah.

They defeat Jecht even though he is in his form as a final aeon...blah blah blah.
They fight and defeat Yu Yevon.. blah blah blah sin is dead now.. .blah blah blah.

Now then. Since Yu Yevon is dead, and Jecht is dead, and sin is dead. The fayth awaken and Stop dreaming.
And dream Zanarkand dissapears, seeing as Yu Yevon is no longer alive to keep summoning it. Meaning Tidus begins to fade, his pyreflies scattering.

And so Saying his final goodbyes to his friends (insert Yuna's "i love you" here) he jumps of the airship (Cids 'Farenheit') and ends up in the farplane with his father and Auron(ie. auron is sent to the farplane by yuna, after the final battle because he's an unsent and will turn into a fiend if he remains in spira.)

blah..blah.. endingd credits. and yuna's little speach.. end of FFX..

SPIRA - ABOARD THE CELSIUS - 2 YEARS AFTER FINAL BATTLE
... Sin is dead and Tidus is gone.
Yuna and Rikku are now sphere hunters, with their new friend Paine.
They find a sphere containing somebody who looks like Tidus...

he turns out to be a guy named Shuyin who mistakes Yuna for his lover, Lenne.

blah blah.. insert sidequests, yuna ranting about tidus.. and all that crap here blah blah blah.
anyways.

Shuyin wants to destroy spira using Bevelle's machina, because First of Bevelle destroyed his home , Zanarkand. And they killed him and lenne.

Now since the fayth are gone (considering that they ceased to exsist after Yu Yevon was killed). Shuyin is no longer a fayth, but rather a wandering spirit.

Taking control of Praetor baralai, He vows to use vegnagun to destroy spira. blah blah...
Yuna defeats the aeons Shuyin manipulates in the farplane (this is why you have to fight the aeons... they're being manipulated by Shuyin) vegnagun and Shuyin himself. and reveals to shuyin that lenne loved him... blah blah blah..

Everybody decideds to head home since vegnagun's gone now.
Now on the way back through the farplane, the Fayth appear to Yuna. They thank her for saving the world AGAIN, and offer that she may see Tidus again, if she would like to. The player can choose to say yes or no.

If they player selects yes, well.. Yuna meets up with Tidus in besaid. Where Tidus doesnt fade.
Tidus only will remain alive as long as the fayth can sustain his pyrflies. (ie. so basically they re-dreamed him, and eventually he'll probably fade again...)

THE BOTTOM LINE
Sin = Armour created by Yu Yevon, to protect Dream Zanarkand. His summoning of his homeland as it was dreamed by the fayth of the people who died in Zanarkand during the machina war.

Shuyin lived in the real Zanarkand was was killed during the war, becoming a fayth and dreaming of himself as he was before he became lenne's guardian.

Lenne in her death, has he esense sealed into a dressphere which is later worn by Yuna.

When Tidus returns to the farplane, Shuyin's fayth is free and he awakens, alone, without his lover, Lenne.
Distraught, Shuyin vows to destroy Spira, using veganagun.

Yuna and party defeat Shuyin, and shuyin is reunited with Lenne.

The fayth reapere to yuna and offer to let her see her dead lover, as a gift to her for saving the world.
Tidus appears of besaid... alive again because the fayth has restored his life.

Eveyrbody is happy. The End.

Note:
there are still some thigns that bugged me about X-2 that i didnt mention here,
but this is generally the main plot, and explains who Shuyin and Lenne where. And Shuyins connection to Tidus.

Oh and i have some questions that have been bugging me too:

1. In besaid, on the hill that overlooks the village, there's a pathway that is there but you can't go through it. it was there in ffx too and i dont know what it is for!!! why is it even there?
2. The place where wakka and tidus swim to the village in ffx, is that place for anything?
3. In the djose temple right before you go up the stairs to the fayth there is a guy standing in the place with all the pedastool things. he asks for a password. What is it and what is it for?

youre first question gets to me though. i know wher you mean.in front of the statue.

village.long path and save spot.PATH WITH 3 ENTRANCES BUT THE 2ND(IN THE MIDDLE) PATH IS ALWAYS BLOCKED AT..PISSES ME OFF.the one where there is a destryed building.long waterfall path. extra path where they is a cave to the left where you cant visit in ffx.
2 paths in there. one leading to a cliff that really PISSES ME ....OFF!!!!!!where you can swin in ffx but do nothing on ffx2.
and one leading to the beach and u again CANNOT go ON WATER.
but big tip is when look for the numbers for the cipher.one that is by the entrance to the beach when you go there keep walking to the right while holding the button 0(cicle button) then you will go to that side. there are 2 chest on with some type of potion and one with 3000gil at least.
wait sry i got carried away.anyway i hope i help with that little 3000 gil cheat.

I know two answers

the first question is easy... it leads to the place where wakka and tidus swims to the village.they walk through the path, thats how i knew.
the second question is even easier... the place is for getting items... i think... and thats when wakka asks tidus to join the team... you get a antidoite and something else.
the last question i dont even get... is it for FFx or FFX2?

as you said it's never mentioned once in either game.
So nobody can say exactly.

but most have come to speculate, that bevelle though Zanarkand was too powerful in the north and sought to take over their land by using there machina. but its only specualtion. i suppose only square really knows.

and as for Yevon's wife.
As far as we know he never had one.
he was never mentioned being Married.

only that he had a daughter named Yunalesca.
We can either say that he HAD an unnamed wife who was never very important to the story.
or say that Yunalesca was a lovechild of somesort, and therefore never new her mother.

thats what the religion of "Yevon" was based upon (that was later thrown out for its stupidity)

i think the real reason for the machina war was that Bevelle didnt like how Zanarkand was gettin bigger than it because Zanarkand was "The City That Never Sleeps" and they didnt like Yu Yevon or the summoners but why do they have a fayth there if the faith were zanarkand's people. or was that kid on bevelles side in the war and made himself a fayth?

so later Bevelle decided nobody could use machina except it and they used a lot of Zanarkand stuff (ex- hymn, name of leader, ect.) to fool people into thinking that sin and Zanarkand were connected with Yevon

the only way the really were all connected was the title "Yevon" was a leader in Zanarkand and creator of sin

and wtf is up with the fayth being connected to the woods (pukara says "If only all the fayth had stayed, the woods would never ever fade.") and why do the ronso think the fayth is connected to them? (in the fayth scar the ronso up there says something like "hope ronso do not disappear too")

&& sin was created by Yu Yevon against Bevelle. but it never attacked bevelle because that is where his daughter ran away too.

&& about sin attacking dream zanarkand. well in the fayths dream, they had gotten to the point in their life when sin came. and also the arena where you fight Jecht (Braskas Final Aeon) is a mix of the blitz stadium's seating and zanarkand temple's (the temple is the stadium present-day) floor that yunaleska summons herself from

&& what is up with the omega ruins? is it just me or do you think that is just the randomest crap ever. it is in no way related to the story but yet they have it in the story

if you get 100% there is a "perfect" ending (on top of the regular ending and the bonus ending)
whwere you see Yuna & Tidus in Zanarkand.

Basically they have a brief conversation on how the Fayth brought Tidus back to life and that if Yuna wants Tidus to remain alive they have to "cherish" each other.

Yuna pushes Tidus into the Zanarkand Lake and discovers that he doesn't dissapeer this time.

Easy battle.
go in with dark knight beserker and alchemist.
OR
samurai,samurai,alchemist (or black mage)
its vulnerable to curse & silence so use your mage to do that.
Equip your samurai with ragnarok for incrreased power and just attack with all you've got and use your black mage to heal with items every other turn.

Fayth: It may look like him, but the real Shuyin died long ago. Even after a thousand years, his hate and misery linger on. His feelings grew so strong, they began to act on their own... Eventually, they became a shadow - a shade that wants only to vanish

i think a good plot would be something more to do with paine, theres not much said about her, that could add on, and the evil person could be that guy that ask yuna to marry/forced yuna to marry him comeing back from the farplane like his father did :P

Uh... maybe Square Enix will think of something... Maybe the adventure is about Yuna and Tidus' child... and, they could create a story about the farplane being sealed off because of seymour's shadow(like what happened to shuyin)... and it will threaten spira again..hehe XD btw, there is still a BIG QUESTION that's hanging on my mind..what started the machina war????? I mean, what triggered the two cities to have a war?

but seriously, compared to any other FF game, was FFx-2 really that good?
probably not.

because square downright sucks at making sequels.(this is NOT to say ididnt like FFX-2 or KH2 im just poiting it out)

honestly, i don't think that no matter hwat they did, even if they somehow brought seymour back, and tidus and yuna had a child.
the plot would be so straightforward. Because you'd already know all the characters, so even if you introduced new ones everything would practically be laid out for you on a platter.

there'd be no twists, turns, suprises. it be very very straightforward. (FFx-2 was)
can't help it but i just dont think square should bother with and X-3 because well..
FFX-2 took a huge chunk of FFX and distroyed it. ... i dont really want to know what havoc FFX-3 would play o nthe "series".

and as for the big question.
I agree.
its been swimming aroudn my head for a while now too.
it was never mentioned in either game WHY the war started, just how it was started.
I've come to think that it started as all realworld wars do, people from two different lifestyles dissagree with each other, and decide to take each other out.

i can almost garuntee that there wont be.
Square isnt goign to come out with another sequel just because one person says they want a sequel,
second of all, Square will least of all do one to continue FFX considering that that FFX-2 got terrible reviews and many fans were sorryly dissapointed with the lack of plot. Thirdly, X-2 was only to tie up loose ends left from FFX and to give the story a happy ending considering Tidus died. There's nothing to sum up about FFx-2 considering it had little plot.

I hate to sound anti FFX-2 but the plot for the first 3 chapters of the sotry was pretty much running around and randomly fighting people to get spheres. The plot only really exsisted in ch.4 & 5 and even then it was weak.

"OOOh there's a big machina of mass detruction somewhere, lets go bash it in"
im really sorry, but even if an FFx-3 came out, i doubt many people would play it simply because
there is litterally nothing more you can suck out of FFX.

if square had waited even a coupel of months after realasing FFX i can asure you that people would have rathered an FFVII sequel to an FFX one

its a clasic game which people have sold on ebay for anywhere from 500 -600 $.
