That dragon likes to use fire(?) if i remember.
Equip your team with either absorb fire accessory / reflect fire accessory / turn fire into hp accessory/ 1/2 dmg fr. fire accessory or else use reflect/ shell to make sure that its magic attacks dont work.

have a white mage to cast shell/wall on all three characters to defend them or else have an alchemist to throw lunar, star, and sun bits at them. HAve dark mage to attack using Blizzaga.

if that doesn't work .. you may need to level up.

in my opinion, the easiest way to defeat shinra at sphere break is to get core breaks using 2 or 3 coins. if you keep repeating, you get great echo bonuses. By doing this i was able to defeat him in 5 turns!

Haha you think your stuck? I can't even get one win! I've gone over the rules five times today and I still can't do it... :(

Try to make friends with echoes. Your points will rack up quick, if you know how to work the echoes just right.

(seeing as im to lazy to type it out again)

Simply put: You have 4 entry coins (the bronze ones), and 8 surrounding coins (blue ones)
You select spheres so that when the numbers on the spheres are added together they created a multiple of the number displayed. But you have to select at least ONE entry coin in order to create a multiple.

EX) You need to make a multiple of Eight.
Entry coins:4,5,6,1
Surrounding coins: 4,3,2,1,1,3,4,3

The best thing do with those coins would be to select your entry coin (4), and your surrounding coin (4)
which add up to eight. Of course you could also use entry coin (6) and surrouding coins (4),(4),(3),(1)
which would add up to 16.. but you would use alot of coins, and the coins take alot of time to replace.

QUOTA: you gain points by making multiples of the presented number, the points you gain go into your quota

RULES: you have certain amount of turns to get a certain amount of quota,
You must select at least ONE entry coin,
You turns are timed, and the time restarts everytime you start a new turn

WIN / LOOSE:
you loose if = you run out of time during a turn, you run out of possible coins to create a multiple of a number,you dont meet the quota....

Gawsh i know. the intrustions are soo confusing.

Basically:

you get to choose you 4 entry spheres (the brown ones)
you have to select coins (without selecting the same coin twice) to create a multiple of a number.the number changes from turn to turn. EX] one turn you might get 3. so you have to select coins that will add up to a number that is the multiple of three (ie.3,6,9,12 ect.)

You gains points which go into your quota for using coins. To win you have to meet or go over the quota (the number of points you have to get after a certain amoutn of turns) before time runs out.

You loose, if you dont meet the quota, if you run out of time, if you run out of coins, or if you cannot select all the available coins and still have not created the multiple of the set number.

I HATE SPHERE BREAK ITS HARD!!! I CAN NEVER BEAT HIM WITHOUT THE HELP OF SOMEONE THEY CAN GET THERE QUOTA TO 35 IN THE 8th TURN!!!! I CAN NEVER DO THAT!!! TRUST ME ITS WAS 35 AND I WAS THERE!

Go to Luca and find Shinra there. You'll have to beat him in Sphere Break in order to get Lady Luck. Once you have beat him he'll give you the Dressphere.

Cap nip is found in the chest that appears in the bevelle cloisters (cloister 40) during ch.5 right after you defeat the black elemental.

Thriple Threat to The Max!

Catnip is one of the best acesory in the game. It can do 9999 dmg or more. U can use it in any ds, but 4 the best dmg, u can use trigger happy lvl 3. But remember this, catnip only useful if ur hp is yellow.

"Machina this machina that.. All the machinas are good if you use it well."

it also cause any healing turn
(items or magic)
to cause 9,999 hp to be regenerated, it's pretty coool :)

There is no secret way,you really need to beat Shinra,it like really,really hard but with good coins it's much easier.I couldn't beat him in ch3 because i didn't have the right coins but in ch5 you can dig out some really usefull coins in Bikanel.How is that, that you cant talk to him.He's in Luca in one of those locker rooms,in the same spot where he was in ch3.You just need to go near him and press x and that's all.

thats all and good but where was he in chapter3? i looked in chap5 & couldnt find him!!!!

In ch3 when you enter Luca you will hear about the Sphere Brake tournament,right and you'll have to beat 3 people to get into finals where you have to play against the Shinra,so you can't miss him there.And in ch5 he's in one of the locker rooms,near the stadium in Luca,I think in one wich have a save sphere in it.(If you played FFX remember when in Luca you spoke with Al bhed who wanted to kidnap Yuna there)

WELL THE BEST PLACE IS THE CNTRAL EXPAND AND U DONT NEED A LEVEL 5 CHOCOBO I USED A LEVEL 3 AND I GOT IT OPEN TRY THAT IF IT STILL DOSENT WORK TRY THE WESTERN EXPAND-what will it take to get everyone to 100%???

By the way P.S. You can only use the coins provided by the sphere tournament people. Sorry, you're stuck with those. :\
